It's Been A Long Time Since I Kissed You.

Stop and stare. Well, no. Not stare. Think. Thinking should be after stopping.

Sometimes, we follow instructions blindly. We don't understand why we need to do that. But, we continue because we don't doubt the instructor. We think the person who gave the instruction is up to the standard of knowing what is best and we trust him completely.

We don't question too. It is seen as challenging the instructor. We only follow, and in that, believing that whatever we are told to do is beneficial.

Even if you want to ask, your mates may give you that face. That 'please-don't-drag-anymore-time' face. Or even there's the faces of 'like-that-also-need-to-ask' and 'don't-attract-attraction'. Peer pressure makes doubts-clearing uncool. And no one wants to be uncool in front of their friends.

There are some people who thinks and they think deeply. The rest just don't think or rather, they don't bother.

I think we need to think. We need to think why are we doing the particular thing we are doing.

Why do we go to school? We want to build our foundations and enter a top-notch university. We want to learn.

Why do we want to enter a top-notch university? We want a nice certificate to have a higher chance of obtaining a job.

Why do we want to have a job? We need to feed ourselves.

Why do we need to feed ourselves? We want to survive.

Why do we want to survive? That's life. To survive and reproduce to ensure that the specie do not die out.

Is that all? So our mere existence is to reproduce and die?

We need to know the rationale to benefit at full.

Why do we have to complete homework? So that we can learn how to answer questions in exam properly.

With the reason, we are motivated and pushed to completing, because we know that is actually beneficial to us. When we think that we need to complete homework to prevent ourselves from getting detention, we do not complete our work properly and not learning anything from the homework, because we just want to give the teacher something that has words. That is the minimum to make sure we won't have detention and people tends to do the minimum.

P/S: I know why do we need to feed ourselves. so that we can have sufficient energy continue to work. Then, why work? To earn money to eat. And why eat? To replenish energy to work. The cycle continues.

So so so, what is your purpose in life? To eat or to work?
