4th to 6th July 2008, Kuantan.
4th to 6th July 2008, Kuantan, 4th to 6th July 2008. I went Kuantan. Like DUH. The title states it. Must you not understand what it says? Okay. You may not understand why I put in the word 'Kuantan' there. Fine. Like others will be as dumb as you.

I went to this turtle sanctuary place. Okay, if you don't already know, Kuantan is one of the nearest beach to Singapore where the turtles come up to lay the eggs. So yeah. We were supposed to look at the turtle come up to shore to lay their eggs at night because there is supposed to the least disturbance, of course, until you came to make a lot of noises, as usual. But since we weren't keen on waiting, we got the rangers to let us release the baby turtles into the sea. The story goes like this. The mother climbed up the beach, dig a hole, lay her eggs, cover the eggs with the sand, climb back to the sea, swim away, rangers pick up the eggs, wait for them to hatch, and they hatch, put them in solutions for them to grow strong, and wait for us to release them.

Very cute. Not so ugly as the parents. The front limbs are so long, like the length of the body. See the box full of little turtles. Cute. And the blue portion of the photograph, at the left? The red words? DONATION? Yeah. Supposed to donate.

Crawling to their future home.

Surviving strong. Look at how small it is.

The turtle climbs like a hamster when you place it on the hand. Like you need to ensure that there is a free palm for the turtle to crawl forward. Totally like a hamster. And maybe like you when you were a baby.

Yes. They say when you release animals, like turtles, you have done a good deed and you will enjoy fortune or long life or something along that line. So I think I will gain something good from this. I don't care. I will have a longer life.

Guess what is this. Guess guess guess.

I think I like to make people guess. Just like how people make me guess and I can't guess anything close and end up making the man hung in Hangman-s.

But anyway, this is when it is standing.

And now, guess what? WHAT? This bird is only a day-old. So I think you may have got the idea. This is an ostrich baby. And it cannot stand. It keeps falling.

I looked at the shell and was shocked at the thickness. It is thicker than 15 pieces of A4 papers piled together. Imagine you are a baby bird and you need to knock your way out of that thick irritating thing. And you knock, and you knock, and you knock, and you continue to knock. Knock and knock. And knock. And knock and knock. And knock, knock, knock, knock. (I typed all that 'knock's. Really. And no copy and paste. I am not a cheater.)

Scary huh?

*shudder*
